Château accommodation
Château la Rouquette is a beautiful vacation residence for up to twelve people. It has six generous en-suite bedrooms, each with views over the valley. The château has large amounts of living space, all tastefully decorated and furnished.
There is a possible seventh bedroom available in consultation with the owners. We do not accept pets at Château la Rouquette.
Living areas
The large spacious family room is accessed by french doors off the main family kitchen and is a great social space to gather in the château. The high ceilings and original stone walls make it a cool and comfortable space on hot summer days. The family room has direct access to an outdoor terrace with a large shaded casual dining area surrounded by views of the vines, paddock and beautiful Château Monbazillac. It has a large smart TV with casting facilities.
There is another more formal sitting room in the West wing, which has its own terrace and views over the pool and beyond. In addition there is a cosy media room which provides an alternative spot to snuggle up and watch a film.
Kitchens
The family kitchen is well equipped with a large range oven and informal family dining area. It also has lovely original features including a stunning open fireplace, pise floors and high ceilings. There is a dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, island bench and every piece of kitchen equipment you could possibly need. There is plenty of china and glass wear and ample pantry storage, as well as family sized fridge freezer. The kitchen has beautiful views out to the gardens /pool and valley views that are accessed by French doors to a graveled terrace.

There is a second smaller well equipped kitchen with another fridge and a drinks fridge through which the laundry room can be accessed.
Property layout
Bedroom 1 "Honeymoon Suite"
This grand, first floor bedroom is the premier suite featuring a large king-sized bed and comfortable seating spaces.
From its private balcony it has commanding panoramic views of the region and beautiful Château de Monbazillac.
The spacious ensuite has a large bath and generous shower as well as a separate WC, both accessible off its own hallway entrance.
Bedroom 2 "Vineview"
This spacious queen bedroom is on the first floor of the tower and has double aspect windows that overlook the picturesque La Rouquette vineyards to the south.

It has a generous ensuite bathroom and a separate WC.
Bedroom 3 "Eagle's nest"
This generous top floor tower bedroom has the most scenic panoramic views. Tucked into the rafters it is traditionally furnished with a double bed and small seating space.
It has a spacious en suite washroom with large shower and separate WC, both accessed off its own hallway entrance.
The Eagle's Nest has the best overreaching view in the house.
Bedroom 4 "Sunset suite"
The Sunset suite is on the attic floor of the Tower has a comfortable Queen size bed and a spacious ensuite with seperate toilet.
Facing west, it receives superb sunsets. It overlooks the La Rouquette vines below, hence the name.
Bedroom 5 "West wing master room"
The West wing master bedroom is a large spacious room with a kingsize bed and its own pretty balcony with views over the gardens and pool as well as Château Monbazillac.
It is situated in the oldest part of the château believed to have been constructed in 1750. It has a large ensuite that is shared with the very separate junior west wing room, there are two toilets and a hallway sharing the West wing bedrooms space.
Bedroom 6 "West wing junior suite"
This sunny double bedroom is a secluded ground floor bedroom traditionally furnished with shared access to a walk-in robe and separate WC.
Through the robe, it can also interconnect with the West wing master bedroom, which works well for family and children, or older guests and carer combination.

The West wing bedrooms have dual "Jack & Jill" access to a wheelchair friendly bathroom.
Bedroom 7 "Terrace bedroom" (optional)
This large sunny, secluded ground floor kingsize bedroom is off the Media room. It is traditionally furnished and features original stone walls attractively washed by strip lighting.
It faces the paddock and vines to the east, and through the double French doors it has direct access up to the terrace above.
This room is only included in the accommodation schedule in consultation with the owners so please check for availability.
